Report from on-set

The BBC has an extensive report from the set of Quantum of Solace. It’s worth reading the whole thing, but here are some highlights (spoilers ahead):

• The movie opens with a big car chase through the streets of Siena, Italy.
• There will be a “free-fall sequence involving motion-control cameras.”
• A huge set has been built of an art gallery in Siena.
• Another Siena location is an underwater MI6 safe house, and there are underwater tunnels with gloomy atmosphere.
• Locations include Austria, Italy, Panama, and Chile.
• M’s office has a glass wall that can be set to “frost” with a button.
