Goldeneye to get facelift

Chris Blackwell is giving Fleming’s estate, Goldeneye, a makeover.

Blackwell is probably best known as the founder of Island Records, the famous reggae label. However, as a teen, he was also a location scout for the first Bond movie, Dr. No. As such, it was always fitting that Fleming’s Jamaican home, where he wrote the Bond novels, should end up in his hands.

The article points out that Bob Marley briefly owned Goldeneye, something I didn’t know.
